Chapter 23

The next morning Jon was awakened by the shrill sound of his phone ringing. "Who the hell?" he reached over patting the nightstand feeling around for it. When he finally found it he looked at the display that said 'Sambora'. Normally he would answer but he just placed it back on the nightstand and rolled over wrapping his arm around Dot.

"If that thing doesn't shut up I'm gonna throw it in the pool." Dot smiled.

"Go ahead." he said sleepily.

Dot reached over for the phone and hit the talk button, "Is anyone hurt or dead?"

"NO, hey Dot is that loser husband of yours around?" Richie asked.

"No I'm sleeping with him, its like 5am here call back later." She hung up on him and threw the phone across the room.

Jon raised his head "Did you just throw my phone?"

"Yes it bothered me, interrupted my time." Dot says full on not hiding her greediness.

"Leave it to Sambora to call this damn early. Remind me to bitch at him when we get home." He moved over as close as he possibly
could to her without being on top of her. "I was having a good dream to." he smiled

"What were you dreaming about?" Dot snuggled closer.

"It was in Dallas. Do you have a show coming up for anything in Dallas?"

"You actually paid attention to all of that on the tours?"

"Of course I did. Do you actually think I didn't care about what the love of my life cared about?"

"It's not that exactly, I just didn't think you watched it that closely. I mean let's face it you hate our music." he laughed

"You actually remember me writing some of them?"

"So Jon we can go horseback riding, parasailing, or swimming with dolphins, what do you want to do today?"

A few minutes later Jon managed to roll out of bed and make the reservations for a day of adventure. Before leaving the room he

downstairs and out to the pool.

Jon almost jumped up out of the seat "She did what? With who?"

"She's kissed her boyfriend Mike like 3 times that I know of."

"I'll kill him if his lips come anywhere near my daughter." he laughed. He hating knowing she was even old enough for that.

"And why haven't I met him yet?

"To late baby, you haven't been home. The week you were home before going to Europe his family had him in Ohio for a family reunion. Pretty nice kid, pretty privileged."

"Yeah well I was a nice kid to and you know what happened with us."

"Yeah we fell in love and have been together 30 yrs." She laughed.

"Before that." he laughed now finally understanding what her dad was going through because she was the baby of the family.

"You weren't that bad." She looked over at him and saw no erection. "Lets go swimming."


Chapter 25

Dot was the first one off the boat then shortly after Jon stepped off and swam over to her. With her back against his chest, he wrapped his muscular arms around her waist as they both enjoyed the view of the dolphins swimming over toward them in the crystal water.

"Jon this is so amazing." She leaned back closer to him, "look at flipper?" She pointed over to the left as one came within 5 feet of them.

Jon started to tense up a little as they swam moving closer to them, they were a lot larger than he had imagined. "Yeah it is amazing Dot but I just want to know if they bite because that could hurt!" he laughed trying to hide the fact he was nervous.

"Honey they won't bite you, they eat fish not sexy men." She moved her head and kissed him softly. "I eat them." She then smiled and reached out to the dolphin.

"I hope they think I'm as sexy as you do then because I don't want to be dolphin food." he smiled as he followed her lead and placed his hand on its side then reached up touching the dorsal fin. "This isn't that bad."

"I think its breathtaking. Do you think the kids would like this?" Dot asked always thinking about everyone else.

Jon just shook his head while he moved his hand over the dolphin. "I'm sure they would but I want YOU to enjoy this."

She smiled knowing what he meant, she looked at him and smiled. "I did it again huh?"
"I want you to do something for me baby. I want you to take your mind away from everything in your life except for you and me right now." he replied softly. "This vacation is for us so we can reconnect again."

"OH that sounds so inviting but its hard Jon. Its so hard focusing on me and what I want." She ran her hand over the dolphin again and then laughed as the dolphin splashed them by slapping its tail in the water.

"Hell that was rude." Jon laughed then kissed his wife on the cheek. "As far as you focusing on yourself, I know its hard for you to do. It's in your nature to be giving Dot, it always has been. Which is why I think you deserve this more than anyone."

"Thanks Jonny. Hey look he's coming closer." She smiled as the dolphin swam right up to their right sides. "He wants more attention how cute." She says still rubbing the dolphin. "Its so pretty."

He smiled watching her enjoying this so much. It was the first time in a while he had seen her this relaxed "Yeah it is, kind of makes me want one. Do you think it would fit in the pool?"

"Probably but I wouldn't want to take it from its normal life. Look at how cute he is Jonny." She smiled and dunked down into the water and the dolphin swam over and kissed her cheek. "OH babe."

Jon's brow arched as he watched his wife and laughed. "I just lost my wife to a big fish."
